Oh how I appreciate you posting this so very much!! They always plow me in! I don't know when they are coming and I don't have a back lane or driveway. Thank you so much!!

that we have snow, keep an eye on the map for the areas that snowplowing will be taking place.

the city keep the blades down and the salt shakers turned off their equipment. We don't need all the salt that's being applied. Hard on the environment and the vehicles.

I tried it on a lark. It did not work for myself.  
 
Great site. I assume since I am South of Park Ave I will not be cleared tonight. I see there is not estimated start times yet for the zones.  

other way to find your zone if typing in doesn't work. You can click on the zones on the zone list and it will show where that zone is on the map. The entire north end is Zone C. You can do the same with the snow routes, click on the route and it will show the streets that are on that route.

Why does Cater Drive the only residential street that gets plowed before anything else in the north hill area why not plow Kirkcaldy or Knowlton drive which all the traffic is on and a large hill and school?

It was questioned as to why Cater was on the snowplow routes at our post snowclearing meeting this morning. It's not even on the same route as Kirkcaldy and Knowlton.

Guarantee Cater dr gets shovelled quickly is because I bet someone of importance lives there city wise! Only reason I can think of

system, there are going to be bugs that the I.T Department will have to work out. Even if typing in your address isn't working, you can turn on the zones and look on the map of where your home is located.

S&R charge hands a little behind the times? LOL!  
 
That being said, I don't think that any official whether elected or hired should get special snow clearing treatment! Is that the way the city does things? If so it would be nice to live on the same street!

sounds like it's sweet to be in the "in crowd". Oh well our city has been like that since I was a child if not before.

If a person was getting preferential treatment, I am disappointed to say the least.  
 
I am requesting that Cater Drive be taken off the Snow Route unless my residential street can be added to the priority clearing route also.  
 
Whenever or whomever authorized Cater Drive (a residential area) to be included on the snow route should be embarrassed and other people in positions of power should not have allowed this to go through.  
 
I wonder if the Ward Councillor Fawcett knows/knew about this and if he is ok with it?  
 
This tax payer isn't ok with it.

Another question....why are side streets not being cleared?

Snowfall in the range of 5 to 13 cm (2 to 5 inches) are usually left to pack on the P2 routes. Greater than 13 cm (5 inches) of snow may trigger a City wide snow plowing program.  

Could it be on the snow clearing route because it is a school bus route??  

of the plows, front end loaders are given their orders on what streets to clean, being good employees that's what they do. Orders from a charge hand I believe.

Hey Trevor, thanks for all your info. Can you mention at your next meeting that some of us would like an explanation for Catergate and that changes need to be made?  
 
I see the city is scheduling snow clearing again and this issue should be acknowledged, assessed and addressed.  
 
The map has not been revised and Cater Drive should only be in the Residential Zone C, not on Snow Route 2.  
 
Or is there a logical explanation to why Cater Drive is included among the snow routes and not cleared like the rest of Brandon's residential areas?
