I do not like the waiting area at all! You have to sit and face strangers which can be a bit awkward, I think the doctor will leave the room though for you to get dressed and undressed

Having the lab closed is very unconvient. I've started going to the clinic in the east end now. Wheat city clinic has closed their lab and western doesn't have one open yet I guess that just leaves the hospital and Brandon clinic now

Did not like it at all. My doctor apologized that there were no curtains in the examining room, said they were expecting them very soon. Did not find the atmosphere very comforting at all, didn't even have any magazines to read while waiting.  

The parking's good now and you arnt down in the dark dingy basement anymore the building isn't finished yet at least let them finish and get setted before you pick it apart.

I do not like the way the hard chairs are set up either. I just assumed it was not done yet and would improve when the construction and decorating was completely done. I was there the first week it opened. The parking is amazing compared to before.

I actually much prefer the hard chairs as I'm sure they're easier to clean and sanitize periodically than those gross upolstered ones at the old clinic. Those things icked me out.  
 
As for facing someone, the horror! You might have to put more effort into ignoring your neighbour.  
 
As for the lab and curtains, give it time. It's a new building, and an incomplete one that that. If it's still like that in 6 months, then whine.  
 
I love that feels clean and bright and new. Plus, there's parking.

I actually prefer the way the waiting room is set up. I find it easier to interact with those around me. Sure they may be strangers but if I'm gonna be stuck waiting for an hour for my appointment I'd much rather have a conversation with a fellow Bradonite (or someone from the area) then sit in silence reading a magazine I really have no interest in. If you don't want to stare at the person across from you bring a book or something. The only thing that I miss is that little bit of space designated for kids. My little one is crawling now and it would be nice to have a little room to put her down and play while we wait where she won't be in the way.

Of the easier to sanitize aspect. It sure does make sense though. Good point.

I have been going to Western Medical for a long time and find that this is a definite improvement compared to their old location. Much brighter and more modern and welcoming. I heard from another patient that the lab is opening in January (not confirmed though) so that will help too.  
 
Overall they did a good job, sure the chairs may be firmer but I sure bet they are cleaner!

The lab dragged there feet about moving to the new building. Only giving 3 weeks notice before opening day that they would join the clinic. As many of you know western medical and bdn clinics no longer have their own labs.

As in all new builds, kinks need to be worked out. I think the western medical staff have handled the issues very well. Dealing with contractors and sub- contractors, things may go super smooth but they could have a lot of speed bumps.
