We had two young guys from Wpg at our door last night for Red Cross. Does that seem right?  

While I don't appreciate solicitors of any sort religious or not coming to my door, I think you should still be able to behave in a normal manner when answering the door. A firm "no thank you I'm not interested" has always worked for me and then I don't look like a jerk by over reacting. If all it takes to make one so angry as to yell or snap at someone by knocking on your door promoting whatever then you've got an issue there!

Somewhere there is someone waiting to be offended by something.

I just wanted to know if there was anyone going around or not due to them not wearing name tags and not stating their names.  
 
If there was - great, continue on, come with happier reading material or cookies.  
 
If not I'll make a report.  
 
After experiencing break-ins prior, better to be safe than sorry.

if I don't come lookin' for it... then I don't want it. There's no good time to solicit. But 2 or 3 after dark is even worse.

The guys canvassing for Red Cross are not legit. Please do not let them in or give them any info. We contacted both local and federal Canadian Red Cross and they do not have anyone canvassing in Brandon area right now. We also contacted BPS and they verified that Red Cross was done January 17th. So please be very careful!
