I am looking to get my hair trimmed.. Just wondering if everywhere is $45 for a cut and style. I have medium-long hair. Thanks!

$20 at Magicuts, even less at the hair college.

I went to Hair Today in the mall last for a trim and it cost me just over 30. I have long hair (middle of my back)

offers womens cuts ranging from $20 - $29 and Mens cut from $17 - $20 and Kids cuts starting at $10  

Gingersnips is $36

Son went to magic it's and it was just over $20 so I think a ladies might be more than that.

At that price I assume you are a woman I just got a cut and beard trim yesterday for $23.10, have you considered dressing up like man you could get it cut anywhere in town for under 20 bucks

I think everyone needs to take into consideration that these people who cut your hair have gone to school and obtained an education to specialize in what they are doing. I am sure most of you have no problem paying $20-$40 for something like a pizza, which takes no education at all for those people to make. hairdressers and barbers are on their feet all day they work long hours have no vacation for the most part and buy all their products and tools out of their own pocket.  
everyone needs to quit being so cheap when it comes to getting a proper haircut. if you don't want to pay more than $20 for a haircut then you're going to get a haircut that looks the price you pay.  
personally I think a men's haircut properly done by a Barber should range anywhere from $20-$35 depending on what they are getting done. ( some of those men's haircuts look very tricky and take a darn steady hand.)  
as for women we have tons of hair we require layers and more work to cut our hair so I think paying 35 or $45 for a wash and haircut is not unreasonable.  
keep in mind again these people are working to support their families just like you are.

Eds barber shop on college Ave. 10 bucks

My daughter just had her long hair cut, about a foot taken off the bottom, shampooed, conditioned, no blow drying - just over $30 at Hair Today at the mall barber.

I've always considered that an interesting comment, look at it this way, if your outflow exceeds your income then your upkeep will become your downfall. People who are concerned about the cost of things aren't cheap, they are just trying to live within a budget. Also the idea of buying something at a lower price equates to not getting quality has always been a bit of a joke to me, products go on sale all the time and the quality doesn't change, or in the real world, where the prices change with supply and demand there may be large changes in prices yet the quality remains the same.

while i agree hair cuts should be a fair price i hardly think it takes more work to cut and trim a mans hair and beard then it does to trim up my bangs and a quick layer trim to the bottom of my hair, long or not so why does it cost $23 for him and at least $35 for me? i really believe costs should be biased on the time and costs to do business, so if we both take 15 mins of the hair dressers time then we should be charged the same and $20 for a simple cut seems appropriate, now if i went and got a great style by someone who takes more time and has built a rep then i might pay more but that is for their opinion and proven skill im paying more for not just the simple cut
