I had to get a newer vehicle because mine wasn't worth fixing. I didn't want payments, so just saved a bit each month ( and avoided spending it) and bought a saftied car privately. Not as new as I wanted, but something I could use while trying to save more. The next year, I upgraded a couple of years . This was better than worrying about payments on something I may not be able to afford. Remember, it's not just the vehicle cost. You also must consider taxes, insurance and upkeep. Good luck in your search.
