Looking to replace. when I typed hurley into the sarch bar, hurley came up. I don't know if I was still on the same website or not, but I did search Sport Check online. I never intended for there to be such a ruckus over this. I am sorry. if people want to help, that's super, if not, that is ok too. I appreciate all the nice comments but will not be looking back at this post, too many hurtful things being said by people who don't even know who I am. this is why I don't post on here very often...too much negativity. Thank you to all those who have helped and have offered help. If you want to pm me that is fine, but I am not subjecting myself to this version of adult online bullying. Thank you.

"I have had so many wonderful offers to help! I ordered the jacket online at Sport Check, I looked and they no longer have them on the website. The closest I could find was one from Firefly called Firefly Jonathan 3 in 1 Jacket. It is listed cheaper than the Hurley, and I don't think my son cares about what brand name it is/was, it is listed for $74.99. I can also answer size questions in a private message. Thank you so so much, I never expected this, I just wanted to rant and let those kids know they did wrong! If I knew who the teens were, I would march to their parents, but I don't know the older kids in our neighbourhood. And yes, my son came home terrified and screaming so loud I knew it wasn't a play scream as kids sometime do...."

She feels threatened. I get that. She posted details of an event. She never asked for anything. Now everyone is accusing her of being a fraudulent liar. Yea I understand people being a bit weary but in the end I can see why she would feel that way. I believe her intentions are sincere and if they aren't then that's on her conscience not mine. Some of the comments did come of a little harsh, like ebrandon normally does, always turns into a lynch mob of some kind.

I totally understand peoples concerns and being wary. But someone sent me a nasty pm and I just feel I didn't deserve it is all. I am grateful for all the offers, like I have said before, and have turned down quite a few. I am still meeting one person for coffee in the future to say thank you for the offer, and the coffee will be my treat when I can afford it! I hope everyone has a wonderful day, most of you have made my day and my sons day brighter.

Unfortunately a few people have chosen to attack, but just ignore those and focus on the positive comments. You are a good mom, and were just venting. Hope everything goes OK for you.

The post was so disheartening knowing a young child had his jacket stolen. Did they take it off his back or steal it some other way? There was no mention in your Op of how this incident actually happened.  
 
Nobody wants to see a little boy disheartened, but let's look at the possibility that Sportcheck (where you said you bought it) has never sold these. Can you post a pic of the same kind of jacket you saved your money for to buy for your son?  
 
I am not trying to discredit. I like giving people benefit of the doubt first.  
People that might donate to your cause have the right to ask questions when there might be a conflicted statement.

I just clearly stated we do not sell Hurley. That's not an attack, it's a statement of truth.

What you should do, is ask your son who has older brothers in his class. I am almost certain he told one of his friends at school he would be taking his toy money to buy something after school, younger kid told his older brothers and they sat and waited for him to show up then robbed him.  
 
The only reason I suggest this is because this exact situation happened to a kid in my class growing up. turned out the criminals were older brothers of a kid in his class
