I see they have it up and running on the city of Brandon web site. It takes a few minutes to learn it. In some ways I like it in others it may throw a scare into some. There is not enough detail to prevent the "scared to go to that part of town" thinking. They should break the maps down into crime classes. IE because all of the crimes are on one map(district)--colour coded or not--after seeing some section(s) of town its no wonder people are scared and a map full of icons will not help.They do list the stats by numbers--it's was just eye opening when I saw the icon loaded maps for the first time!!
