Anyone know what happened on the way into brandon beside hydro? Tons of cop cars and an ambulance but did not see any cars for an accident.

Not clear on where you mean. 18th street...highway 10 ?

Coming into Brandon.... on #10/1st street? There is no Hydro building. What you might have done is mistook the large gov building on east side of  
1st street at the top of the hill. Thats actually the highways dept. Hydro building is on 10th & Lorne ave. You are well into Brandon if referring to that building.

oh, the hydro generating station. Being specific helps clear up ambiguity.

Theft of Vehicle and Impaired Driving  
 
Shortly after 6:00 pm on Thursday, a Dodge Grand Caravan was stolen from the rear of a residence in the 400 block of 2nd St. Minutes later, a 911 caller reported following a very erratic driver in a silver van on Victoria Ave East. While the caller was on the line, the van left the road and became stuck in the ditch in front of the Manitoba Hydro Generating Station. Officers attended and found a woman in the van who was very intoxicated. She was transported to Brandon Regional Health Center and cleared medically however was too intoxicated to provide breath samples. She was arrested for Theft of a Vehicle and Impaired Driving. Further investigation will be conducted on blood samples seized to determine the level of alcohol in the accused at the time of the incident. The woman, a 30 year old Brandon resident, was lodged at Brandon Correctional Center and will be released for a court date in July when she is sober.

she must have been pretty drunk if she won't sober up till July...lol

I needed that laugh - I too was wondering how drunk one has to be to take two months to sober up.  
 
Seriously though - thank goodness this ended the way it did - could have ended in a tragic way.
