You know I was just thinking,,,wouldn't it be great if someone or a team of say 2 people were to start a small business where by upon request they would go to the party who wants to have a garage sale, and assist them in setting it up suppling labels, & tables, & being on duty for a few hours to make sure things went well. Perhaps a certain percentage of the total take could go towards the 2 people in charge.. Wouldn't that make it a lot easier & more efficient for the person wanting to have a successful garage sale.. What do you think........

Most garage sales don't make that big of an amount. I really don't think it would be worth someone's time to hire a helper. Most people just have family helping. We had a yard sale about a year or two ago and the only thing we used for labels was 3 different colored stickers and people could haggle on prices.

I know there is a business in town who will do that for you in the case of a moving sale for instance. Neighbours of mine hired them and they looked after cleaning out the house and running the yard sale.

I do not think there is much money to be made. It takes many hours to sort/price and organize a yard sale.  
 
But there is a need for people who do not have a yard, or the time to price, organize, and actual hold the sale.  
 
Maybe yard sale matching customers, or take over their items. But again not rally a big money maker.
