I noticed signs up along 1st street that say The Sports Plex 6pm to 1am Entertainment for all ages. I went on the website and can't find any info. Does anyone know what is going on? Is the pool open now? Thanks

Ambulance and EMT's just showed up during opening ceremonies. Looks like someone in a yellow shirt (cancer survivor) is being loaded in. Hope he/she is OK.

to enjoy the festivities, last year we walked the track in honor of relatives, and were not on any registered team, then watched the band and dancers.

Just like every year someone will be complaining about the fireworks on ebrandon.  
One night a year to honour those we've lost.

The Relay for Life just put on a wonderful display of fireworks to celebrate the lives of those who have lost their battle with cancer, to honour the courage and determination of those currently fighting the fight, and to offer hope to those who have fought and won that battle against a horrible disease. Well done to the organizers of this event.

I personally know the lady that collapsed at the relay. She is a cancer survivor twice over. She was brought to hospital and received excellent care and was released this morning. All is well however she has asked me to put a thank you to all people involved that helped out. From the nurse volunteers to EMS and all of the people there that called 911 or helped in any way. From her personally to all of you "Thank You".

Thanks for this update. My daughter and I watched as she was taken away and were concerned about her status. Glad to hear she is OK.
