Ok, so I got this neighbor that causes nothing but trouble. He drinks all morning, all day and all night every day and you cannot reason with this person. He'll start a fight over the stupidest thing and even call you names and give you the finger and he acts so immature and he is around 50 years old. He lives with his mom and he yells at her and verbally abuses her all the time. It's like an insane asylum next door and it started out with loud music all the time but that finally stopped, but now he just burns wood everyday and makes a big smoke all the time. People I know used to live where we are and they had the same problem with him. What can you do about these kind of neighbors?

You wouldn't live near 10th and college. Sounds like my old neighbor. That was back in the late 80s.

Call the police, or make a complaint with the vulnerable persons act people. At least his mother maybe safe. And maybe he will get a little sense. Otherwise move or hope he dies.

The mother needs protection. Do the right thing and report the elder abuse.

I agree with these other posters - you need to protect that Woman living in that home - when you hear his Verbal Abuse - you need to help protect the Victim - elder abuse is not something to ignore.  
 
And, doesn''''t he need a burn permit to have fires??? That is something I would be reporting/asking about too. Contact those in our community whose job it is to protect our community - including Domestic Violence, and Abuse of any child, woman, man or animal!!! Please do not become an Accomplice to the Violence!!

I read stalker from that. A fence is great, sometimes I wish we had a better set of laws for stalkers. But if your BF is still texting her he's just adding to her delusions.

This is why I live in the country!! Lol

you never know till it's too late, unless your renting, then just move.

This is something that is important. Important enough for Sean T to ask for help.  
 
The Brandon Police has two specialized units that can probably help out. The first is the Community Policing Unit. The second one, I can't remember the exact name, BPS web site is a couple of years outdated, but it's a community outreach program. This BPS Unit works closely with social services, mental health workers, and community support people. Sounds like you should call BPS and make an appointment to drop in and speak with them. Under no circumstance would your neighbors ever find out that you complained. In fact, this wouldn't even be considered a complaint. More of a cry for help.  
I do know that you have to do something. If you choose to do nothing, and someone ends up hurt or dead, that would be hard to swallow. Call BPS. (204)729-2345
