May 6th my son passed away while in Cfs care, I want an inquiry done into his death, I phoned the child's advocate but she wasn't helpful at all, she was sticking up for Cfs on other matters. I just want some answers as to why my baby passed away when he was in their care for protection & they didn't protect him at all. Now my child is gone and never coming back. Could someone point me in the right direction with the right people are resources to call. Thank you so much!

You need a good lawyer.

Under the Fatality Inquiries Act of MB, the Chief Medical Examiner is required to conduct an investigation into any death of a child and to also notify the Child's Advocate. Contact both of those offices as well as your MLA and force the issue of an inquiry. CFS will try to hide behind their Act and not provide any answers.

Every CFS agency answers to an authority. You can contact the authority directly as part of the appropriate chain of command.

I phoned my old lawyer I used with the custody apprehension when they first took my son away from me, He told me to contact the child's advocate but she was no help at all. And okay I will try and contact the MLA too. While my son was in care every time I visited him he was always sick of getting over a cold, but he never had any medicine with him, so I need answers as to why they never took him to a doctor as soon as they noticed a cough or runny nose or fever. Thanks for your comments. It seems like Docfs just wants to sweep it all under the rug and say "it was his time to go" but i need answers :?

This happened on May 6 2016. Docfs is the agency. My boy was 14 months old.

.... I contacted the Brandon sun when my son was apprehended, but they never replied, so I don't even want to bother them with this cause they won't bother again. I contacted the MLA today and the Docfs authority today. And then this afternoon I find out my son has a new worker and he's being moved from the Sioux valley Docfs agency to the Docfs in Brandon.
