just wondering what you guys and gals think of the changing of our national anthem at the baseball all-star game on Tuesday night by the '' lone wolf ''

Oh this just sucks. I adore the band and have seen them twice and they are so incredibly talented.  
 
Besides that I don't think that an all-star baseball game was the best place for Remi to proclaim his political views (if that's the word we are using for it). He was there as a paid performer doing a job. NOT a platform for personal political views.  
He also is not up there himself but 1 part of a 4 member group. Those three guys now will be associated with this and is a mark on them as a foursome.  
The same goes for anyone that has a job.You are there to perform duties and act professionally.  
 
If he had wanted to put an opinion out there he could have easily done so via his social media accounts, but on his own accord.

Most definitely not the right place for this behavior. He has embarrassed Canadians.  
Apparently this "lone wolf" is an American.  
I think if this group wants to remain relevant in the music scene in Canada, they need a new member.

They should kick him out of the group, full stop.

Wrong thing to do. It wasn't his place to change the words of our national anthem. It was also selfish to do so without consulting the rest of his group and therefore I think they should kick him out permanently. It's bad enough when someone sings the wrong lyrics by accident, never mind doing it on purpose.

My son and I just discussed this the day before - how performers like to put their "spin" on the anthem and how that is just wrong in our opinion. Usually it is the American anthem that gets changed, but in either case, there is no need to change it because they are (can be) motivational on their own. There is no need to change it for motivational purposes, so when ever it is done it is for personal gratification or promotion. I agree with Frankie - do your job and sing the song the way it was written. Make up your own song if you want and sing it in the parking lot.

I feel bad for the other three guys in the group! Watching the video, you could tell they had no idea he was going to do that and now their whole band is receiving backlash for something one member did. I respect their decision to remove him from future performances!

Disrespectful-totally wrong for an individual to do this to express his personal views. However we have a group in Ottawa that want to do the same!
