the nerve of people
5/15/2008 at 6:25 PM
First off I would like to ask what kind of people live here. My mother told me a story today that absolutely appalled me. She was out walking her dogs on the walking path today. Now these are not big dogs, one is a yorkie terrier and the other a Chihuahua, both were on leashes, and both not more than a foot away from her. She saw a guy on a bike coming for the opposite direction and thought nothing of it….Until her yorkie cried out. This guy ran over her dog. He stopped got partially off his bike and said “maybe your dogs should be on shorter leashes.” My mom,not flying off the handel was more worried about her dogs, asked for his name and number as she picked up her injured dog, and he just got on his bike and peddled off. Mom says that he wasn’t a young guy or teenager but more of a man late in his life.
Has Brandon lost every ounce of empathy, and resoncibilty? This man knows who he is and if he was a real man he should have offered his name and number out of respect. But instead he ran off like a coward. If this happened to some one who lives here, what is happening to visitors? I am very disgusted by this. So much so that I would not admit to have been born and raised here.
