Has anyone noticed the increase in water bill, administration, waste, and water? Mine has increased 16%. And no I do not have a leak or an incorrect reading. It says on the bill that there is a rate change in these areas. I sure didn't get any kind of increase in my salary and if anyone did it sure wasn't 16%. I don't even use that much water. I hate to think what kind of an increase this would be for the average family. Perhaps you haven't noticed, but it's coming. We may not have had an increase for a while perhaps, but this amount is just too much.

Yes, it sucks. The average increase for 2-4 person households is listed on the COB website, under the section where it explains why they needed to increase the costs for the next 3 years and that the PUB approved the increase. It also breaks down how little we are paying against other cities of our size & bigger.  
 
Although it sucks it's just going to make my family be more aware of our water consumption. Before, at $50/3 months we didn't care. The $250 bill this time means we aren't going to have a green lawn for the rest of the summer, or next!  
 
The people I really worry about are rental property owners. They can't increase rent to offset this new cost which is really unfortunate.

Yes, like it was mentioned, Brandonites enjoyed lower water bills than many other cities and now it's time to say good bye to that. Unfortunately, it's too late to complain about it now, if you thought the increase was too much you should have complained about the proposed increase to the PUB months ago when it was brought forward.  
 
Conserving water is now going to be a higher priority in Brandon than previously.
