Last night 13th Street was blocked off between College and Van Horne shortly after 5 Pm. Saturday Sept 10th. The entire block was barricaded with police cars, officers and ambulances. This lasted nearly 2 hours. Does anyone know what was going on? It didn't look like a vehicle accident which is a really common thing there.

House fire

It was small house fire that started in the basement from a dehumidifier.

House Fire

At 5pm, Police and BFES attended a fire in the basement of a residence in the 800 blk. of 13th St. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was possibly a dehumidifier. The Office of the Fire Commissioner and Police continue to investigate.
