If this happened to your 5 year old child would you feel it was enough time? He can be released in 2 1/2 years with good behavior, and could be out on the streets very soon to do it again.

I was only able to read the first few sentences as I do not have a Brandon Sun account..... but that was enough for me to just shake my head as well. utter nonsense.

Considering he is a serial sex offender and has been convicted of sexual assaults dating back to 1999, he probably should of got a bigger prison sentence. But i''m not sure if sitting in a prison cell is going to help him, what he needs is mental help. Which hopefully he will get and it works.  
 
 
Also, just because he is elgiable for parole in a few years doesn't mean he will be granted parole. Lots of people apply for it and don't get it.

The penalty is about the same as what you would receive for manslaughter, so not out of line. He has had 5 convictions as an adult, and been jailed numerous times already. One has to wonder at what point the repeat offender status gets applied and he gets a permanent address in one of the institutions.  
 
He seems to be progressing from exposing himself, to lewd acts, to touching, to now sexual violation. Unfortunately, another child or two is going to be abused before he gets his long term stay.
