Non-Food Halloween Goodies!!
10/19/2016 at 9:13 AM
The Teal Pumpkin Project is an initiative whose goals are to promote allergy awareness and give non-allergic families ideas to make Halloween safe for everyone who trick-or-treats!
Pumpkins, painted bright teal, can be set out for families to see, indicating that there are non-food items available. Many allergic and non-allergic families aren't even aware of this, unfortunately. It has taken off more in the U.S. and in larger, cosmopolitan centers.
Non-food treats are a welcomed addition to the norm for kids who have allergies and life-threatening allergies. There are so many things that you can purchase from Dollarama that you can hand out! Little toys, school supplies and Halloween toys are all fun alternatives to allergen-containing candies & foods!
