We are in our way into brandon from the west and have been backed up in traffic for the last hour we are just west of eastern access

A driver went the wrong way down the highway and had a head-on collision with another vehicle. Both drivers have died. Unsure if the vehicle going the wrong way was doing it intentionally or of alcohol was involved

We just went through the MacGregor detour and the one by Brandon. I pray for the victims and families and emergency personnel. Such tragedy.

we went through the one by mcgregor as well both accident we seen the aftermath And it didn't not look good
the one by mcgregor was a grey four door truck and q white truck (looked like a company truck) and the one closer to brandon was harder to see but I think it's a dark coloured half ton

Nothing in the news section on eBrandon yet, 2 major accidents in one day. Not good.

Accident at 930pm on 16.10.29

The one accident was on the westbound lane of #1 about 2 or 3 miles west of Douglas. I was going east on #1 when it happened. It didnt look good when I stopped as I couldnt even tell what kind of vehicle it was due to the severity of the accident.

I'm not sure what happened. I just came over the hill eastbound by the bridge on #1 when it happened and the first vehicles behind the accident were just stopping. Like I said, the accident was on the westbound lane.

Accident near Brandon

The one that happened near Brandon last night must of been serious, because the road was still closed into the early morning hours today. Haven't heard anything about it yet thought, the news is just reporting on the one near mcgregor.

There's was definitely some issue with the driver of the truck. Will have to wait to hear what the investigation finds. Feel sorry for both families.

Where is PR101? The artical says south of Brandon but it also says on the Trans Canada.

they mean Road 101 West which would be the gravel road going north from Curries Landing Road? 101W would be just a little east of Curries Landing but in that general area-it it just east of the bridge on #1. The article should say east, not south, of Brandon.

PR (Provincial Road) 101 is the Brandon By-pass, goes from PTH (Provincial Truck Highway) 10 South of Brandon, around the city, and connects with the Trans Canada East of Brandon.

The young man whose life was cut short in the October 28th accident was a big, important part of many people's lives, especially to his new, perfect little family. There is a fundraiser going on to try and help them continue their lives.
