While measures are in place to limit text replies en masse, it is possible and has been known to happen where a scammer will send a text message reply to an ad.
Standard classified safety practices should apply. There should never be a need to click on a link in a text message to communicate with a potential buyer, nor any need to share any personal information such as bank account info or account passwords. The service is intended to be local-only and it should be very suspicious if an out of province inquiry is received. Any exchange of item for pay should only take place in person.
