there are a few members at the westman carving club, who have expressed some interest in wood turning. If I was you, I'd go ask around there.
They meet regularily on Tuesdays through the school year. 7pm in the drafting room at Vincent Massey. Your first visit is free. And you get to visit with all the friendly members.
