Wondering if anyone witnessed an accident between a Black Ford Fusion and a silver truck at the intersection of 34th St and Victoria Ave on Friday Jan 13. My daughter was going south on 34th when a truck turned in front of her to head west on Victoria. The truck hit her and kept on going. Thank you so much to the lady and her daughter who stopped to make sure my daughter was ok and called the police for her. She was badly shaken and I cannot thank you enough for showing her that compassion! To the coward who hit her and kept on truckin the police have a piece of your truck!! Please do the right thing and turn yourself in (I know that is probably not going to happen) Please people drive careful on those slick streets! My daughter was luckily not hurt physically but now the headache of not having a vehicle to get to school with and to get home to the country is more than an inconvenience and the sad part is is had you waited a few more minutes to try to head west out of town....then everyone would be none the wiser. You were in a rush and now everyone is paying the price of your impatience!! ( We have the evidence that you sustained damage as well)

Was the truck heading north on 34th and turned left to hit your daughter's car, or was it also heading south and, as many, many Brandon drivers do, suddenly swing wide to the left before completing a right hand turn ? Neither action absolves the driver of the truck for the collision.

Well I am no rocket scientist but after reading it I believe her daughter was South bound on 34th the truck obviously North bound. Truck turned West on to Victoria in front of said daughter. The truck then took off, which I assume the driver was impaired, prohibited or the truck belonged to someone else and he likely didn't have permission or various other reasons. Clearly if you have pieces of his truck he knew he was in an accident. There was another reason why he didn't stick around. Hope you find him.

And thank you I hope they catch the person as well. We said the same thing, how could he just keep driving and those reasons popped into our minds as well. They obviously knew they were in an accident, it ripped the front side of my daughters car right back so it was not just a slight fender bender

that that is a camera. I think it's a left turn sensor device. (knows when traffic forms in left lane to cue the signal to change to flashing arrow)

That is not a camera, that is a traffic sensor for the lights.

There are no traffic light cameras in brandon

To the poster, I'm glad your loved one is ok.

Police may look into this but what are the chances 7-11 or westoba have security cameras that get a view of the intersection? Or even the RBC ATM in the parking lot on west side of 34th.
