Executive Homes 2000, Geothermal sub-division

I'm wondering what peoples' thoughts are on this new North Hill development:

On their website they have a survey that tries to get at Brandonites' opinions on geothermal powered homes. As part of that survey, they are proposing a financing plan where the extra $10,000 it costs to go geothermal would be financed by the actual developer and paid back through the savings in energy costs.
I see they had their Grand Opening open house yesterday, and if you go by the radio ads they're running lots are apparently selling fast...
Is this a development anyone has looked into in any detail? Why (or why not) would it appeal to someone like yourself? and what are your thoughts on geothermal energy and how it's being proposed in this case?
