Thanks to the fine folks at ACC and BU, you might have noticed this week that eBrandon now has an updated carpool section.  
 
Because of the increasing cost of gas and environmental concerns, I was approached by people from both schools last week to see if we could make use of the eBrandon classifieds to make it easier for people to carpool- both within the city and between cities in our part of the province.  
 
What I ended up doing was updating that section of the classifieds to be more specific to carpooling... making it so that when an ad is posted, you need to specify a departure city, destination city and the days you would be looking for a ride. That info is then shown in the carpool section (which can also be accessed directly through http://carpool.ebrandon.ca ). We've started off with nine ads involving Brandon and Winnipeg as well as communities like Dauphin, Morden, MacGregor and Souris.  
 
If you've considered carpooling, please consider posting an ad to see if there's someone else who has a similar daily commute to yourself.
