boots/shoes--steel toed eh!

well at 150 bucks(taxes in) I have worn out my first set of steel toed boots in 4 months. Yep I gotta buy new ones although with my new job these new ones will last a lot longer. It is a job requirement and unlike my former boss they will cover the costs when I send in the receipt but I need suggestions of where to go.
The new place lets us wear shorts which I plan to take advantage of but steel toed boots and shorts make me look more goofy than I normally look and that is pretty goofy. I plan to go to Union shoes and Payless but after going through a 44 page catalogue from one supplier in the USA of only steel toed products---and sketchers,New balance etc I now know you can get all sorts that look like runners etc. Marks work warehouse online showed no real choice of steel toed that goes with shorts. If there is no one in Brandon is there any place in Winnipeg to check??
