I suggest you report this good deed to somewhere higher up so they know they have a good employee. I'm sure the higher ups would pass on the compliment to the driver.

Thanks for that tip I didn't even think of that. And upon looking into that they have an employee recognition page so that is exactly what I did

Glad you got a free breakfast but not sure where the great employee comes in. Must be paid too much if they go around buying random people breakfasts. But it could be the pay it forward movement. Have a good day.

Typical ebrandon, someone comes on here to say thanks and share a positive experience, and someone has to come complain that the nice person is "paid too much".

^^^^^ wow... way to ruin someone else's good deed. Whether they are a good employee, get "paid too much", or are just paying it forward, your sour apples attitude just took away someone else's feel good moment.

Or maybe he paid for it on the company credit card and gets meals reimbursed

A while back our family was going through the drive thru at Tim's on Victoria. The vehicle in front of us paid for our whole meal. It was well over $30 as it was "breakfast" on our way to hockey.  
We are from out of town.  
This past Monday my kids and I were going through the Tims drive they by Canadian Tire. I decided to pay it forward and paid for the vehicles order that was behind me. My oldest son thought it was the nicest thing in the world!  
I think these gestures are very kind and you should pay forward a kind gesture when you can.
