I have used it the other day, I have friends say it works great. There are a good number of restaurants on there right now, including joe beeves. The transition is easy and simple cause you pay for everything on the app and watch your food arrive to your door. Now if you are one of those jerks that don't believe in tipping your delivery driver, I know there are still ppl out there the don't believe that tipping at all. This app is not for you, as tipping is a required as far as I can see.

Would like to know what those working for this company thinks. Is it worth the pay? Do you get added insurance because your vehicle is now a delivery service? Were there any extra cost to working for them like those heated bags to transport the food in?

why are you calling people JERKS if they do not pay tip? Thieves are jerks for taking away people's property items without paying or leaving any tips. Tips are about choice.

Service are in my opinion jerks when they don't leave a tip.. if you don't leave a tip you have never obviously worked in the food service industry. If you did you would know how hard most of these people work. And just an FYI not everybody who works in an "entry level" job for minimum wage is a young kid saving money for college or to buy their first car. There are some hard working adults raising a young family who for whatever reason other than the fear of starvation who work in these type of establishments. I would rather tip a working individual than pay them to sit on welfare at home.. however never used the service. Just my two cents about tipping.

I use this quite a bit when I am working a double shift, it's nice to have more options for delivery. You can pay cash to the driver or by credit card on the app. The selection of restaurants is good and they seem to be adding more frequently, hopefully they will be adding a sushi option soon!

I love this app! I also live in Winnipeg and have a large variety of options to choose from. Although the app prompts you to tip 10%, 15%, or 20% you can tap on the dollar amount to put in a flat amount (even $0 you cheapos!).

They are a great service, nice and easy to use app with lots of selections for restuarants. Ive had a mistake happen (got diet drinks) and they credited my account on the app so i got the money back on the next transaction. Im not a big fan of the tip before receiving the delivery (i have no idea if im gonna get good service or not) once they arrive its nice to tip a couple bucks at least for good service. Highly recommend this app !!

Tip, when we go to restaurants, it's the persons job to provide the customer with good service and I work in customer service and don't get tipped or paid commissions, but it's my job to provide the customer with quality service, doesn't mean I'm cheap, but good service or not they already get paid.

A few points of meh-  
-Check your physical receipt vs the online total (I once ended up tipping an extra $8 on the $5 given because I didn't & there was an unlisted special)  
-You can't use any coupons/discounts except Skip codes.  
 
I admit I'll put in $0 online & tip cash at the door because it truly does depend on the service, but that being said I've never had an issue!  
 
 
 
As for working for them it seems like they have a high turn over rate, & being that I've had an order dropped off by someone who was working another job at the exact same time (came in their company vehicle) I'm guessing they are very much tip driven for their income, & it isn't a primary income kind of job.

I've used it a few times. I generally ordered food that would get a tad soggy after 5 minutes in a box (ie poutine) but it's insanely handy when I have a craving for a certain restaurant's food but I don't want to actually go to the restaurant.  
 
I'm glad to see something like this in Brandon. I used to order from Just Eat while staying in Montreal and it was handy to order a smoked meat sandwich and poutine when I had no way to get to a restaurant at 11PM.

There actually is a tip built in to the charge that you pay. It nothing much ($1-$3) and it goes straight to the driver and not the restaurant.

OK, so we know it's food delivered by drivers that you can tip if you desire.  
 
Does anyone know about costs? No one is talking about costs. Are there associated front end or back end costs?

Don't be such a cheapskate like most people in this city. Good service gets a good tip, bad service gets no tip. I hope you never get good service.

Firstly, Tipping is very much so about the service, the experience and the promptness of the server. A server and / or a delivery driver should be an enhancement to your experience. Were your drinks topped up in a timely manner, utensils, condiments provided. Was a smile a standard or did you feel like you were talking to a robot. A customer has already paid the restauant for the food provided and in turn that restaurant has paid the server / driver for the services they provided. A tip is something a customer gives above and beyond the ticket price and it is on the server / driver to earn that tip. I almost always tip and when i don't it's because i was unimpressed with the experience. Being from the service industry myself I have a rule. IF i didn't think a tip was justified - I speak to a manager and provide my honest feedback. I do not make a big deal of it. I do not blast the establishment on social media or leave a scathing review. I let the establihsment know they may have an employee in need of additional coaching or whatever measures they deem necessary. YOu can't fix a problem if nobody tells you it exists.  
 
Secondly, when it comes to skip - they take 25% off the top from the restaurant. The driver makes more than the fee because they get a portion of the commission from the restaurant.  
 
Many guests would actually find there bill would be cheaper if they visited the online ordering portals of the actual restaurant. Not in all cases - but i'd imagine the majority. Skip the dishes seldomly gets access to a restaurants promotions, features and discounts. Becuase there isn't enough margin to give away a discount and then an additional 25% to skip the dishes. So customers are actually paying for every item full price when they order through the skip portal. Now some restaurants don't have these tools individually. So that's where skip shines But if your ordering from a place with their own online system and delivery service. I imagine your over paying by ordering from skip.
