On the way to work this morning we were tailgated by a motorcycle, and after turning she passed us in our lane even though there was an oncoming car. That was sad to see due to how dangerous and unlawful that move is. As a female rider I often feel disliked and disrespected by drivers, these are the riders that make us all look bad. The good ending to the story is right after being passed we turned and right behind us was lights and sirens! Alway happy to see Karma kick!

Please correct me if I am reading this wrong. Are you implying the motorcyclist ended up in an accident after passing you and that it was a good thing?

No, I understood that the police were maybe going to stop her and give her a ticket, not that there was an accident.

im not sure what your post has to do with being female? does that matter enough to bold the text?  
 
Also not sure you are describing, did she pass you in your lane? or pass you while you were in your lane and there was oncoming traffic? I assume she did have enough time to make the pass since bikes are quick but from what i can tell in your opinion it was dangerous and subsequently received a ticket, so seems like this incident was taken care of properly, glad no one got hurt

They passed in our lane when it is only one lane each direction and traffic oncoming in the opposing lane. Very illegal and dangerous. Text bolded itself in the title so no emphasis on female for any reason other than it was a female. If it was a guy I would have said that as well. When on a motorcycle there is no outer shell for protection so if there is an accident you are often really hurt so the stupidity of riders is extra annoying. These acts cause accidents which in turn cause insurance hikes. The high insurance is one of a few reasons I am not riding at this time. Just pleased to know she will have received a ticket!

but now i get what she did, i agree very dangerous, and insurance cost are also the reason i took years off of insuring my bike, i do love it tho, despite the risks, so i insure it when i can

she went around them with on coming traffic.if they were doing the speed limit,why did she need to pass? sound like she deserved the ticket if that's what the cops gave her.

The OP makes a good point that riding a motorcycle does depend on other motorists treating you fairly and sharing the road. When a motorcyclist takes advantage of the bike's size and acceleration to do something like this kind of passing it makes drivers less likely to give them that respect.
