IHOP franchisee talks future plans

The Alberta based franchisee for the prairies opened their first Winnipeg restaurant this morning. Interesting tidbit from the story is that they want up to 4 in Winnipeg, and want to have a BRANDON location and possibly Thompson.

is a bonus, but I wont stray from my favorite breakfast spot, Komfort Kitchen. Just hope they don't try to cram another restaurant into the Shoppers Mall parking lot...lol

In all seriousness its good any time a business wants to invest in the community and I know a lot of folks enjoy IHOP based on how busy I've seen it in other cities. I'm only one customer but as much I used to really look forward to hitting up an IHOP or Cora for the newness factor when traveling I've become a little hesitant on prices. Call me thrifty but I'm a 2 eggs, hash browns, 2 pieces of meat, 2 pieces of toast and a coffee for 6.99 kinda guy

I would love to see an IHOP here....they have an awesome breakfast and great selection especially for the kids.....there really is a need for a good breakfast restaurant....I haven't heard much of the Pancake House rumour that was floating around not too long ago.

Not to be a negative nelly, but Winnipeg only has one Red Lobster for 700K+ people. Growing up there, there was 3 but they couldn't drum up enough business to support all of them!!!

Olive Garden is only meh. If in Winnipeg, I much prefer going to places like Pasquale's.
