Actually, there is a bylaw against it, if OP is within the city limits:
[b]Bylaw 5806/81/90[/b]
[i]8.2) No person shall hunt, trap, take, kill or capture, or attempt to trap, take, kill or capture a wild animal within the City of Brandon.[/i]
Licenses are not required for small game such as rabbits, so if OP is outside of the city limits, trapping them should be fair game unless they fall under another jurisdiction with a similar by-law.
