Why is there not a left turn light? that would make exiting a lot easier, cars were 10 deep today, causing a jam at the 3 way stop. With Xmas coming its only going to get worse. I understand that with construction comes delays, but this is preventable, and a consideration that should have been made prior to all the changes.

There are 7 exit/entrances into the mall parking lot, I don't see any reason to have an arrow at that particular junction with so many other options. What would be great though is of the people that are crossing 18th in/out of the parking lot would pay attention to the actual lane they should be using.

There totally should be a turning light there. It's bad enough that they're adding restaurants to an already full parking lot, now we need to try to leave said jam packed lot without sitting at the light for ten minutes

What is wrong with using the lights at Sobeys across from the Burger King? Or turn right on to Richmond from the Sobeys parking lot?

because driving around that parking lot to find another exit, would be just cause for an accident, the way people are driving when they see a parking spot. Cut you off, cross over anyway they can. People walking everywhere. I too would want to leave from the nearest exit.

IMO with the growth of that area of the city that whole intersection needs to be re-imagined not just for cars but pedestrians. It was a good step when a crosswalk was added at 18th and Maryland but would love if a way could be found for the sidewalk to be extended from 18th and Aberdeen to the sidewalk that ends in front of the theatre and a crossing be added at 18th and Aberdeen that links right up to the bike path system on the other side. When one talks about changes at that spot I know that issues come up with the slope, and also the fact that you need three parties to all be on the same page... city/province/mall.

If i am parked at the gym, why would i, or should i drive thru that mess of a construction zone to exit the Mall? This is not a problem that is going away, with growth and construction there has to be ways for traffic to flow smoothly. When the restaurants are in full swing, it will be even worse.

Oh don't even get me started on getting out of the movie theatre lot and making a left hand turn (to go North) where there are no traffic lights. Lol  
 
But yes I agree. That whole area could use a good investigation.

Are needed in several areas of the city in terms of lights and turn lights and longer turn lights. There are so many though that I think are controlled by the provincial higher ups rather than our local govt.

It's a cheap and easy fix. Just a bit of widening and have three lanes at that intersection. (maybe four with a lane merging right toward 18th St.)  
 
Cars can then turn left into an exclusive left turn centre median lane and merge with traffic coming from right. This way they only have to wait for cars coming from the left and will flow with traffic on the right.  
 
I don't know the name of this but saw many in BC. Some are blocked so right hand traffic gives up the centre lane for left traffic to come onto the thoroughfare. Others just have painted lines to allow it.
