Rookie or no rookie, it’s plainly obvious that the more evenly each of the 5 letters have numbers called the odds of winning go up. Can you tell me that there were no good spreads since May? It would have been way more understandable with 2 or even 3 winners but 32 is incomprehensible even with more people playing.

Not everybody needs the same card or same numbers. It just 32 people had the same number on their card as the last number needed. Keep in mind, bingo only has 24 numbers for a blackout. Middle N is a free space. So theoretically, in 50 numbers there is a possibility that at two cards (for a blackout) may both be winners while only sharing a single common number.

I understand bingo and that everyone who won was waiting for the same ball when they all needed just one. I’m talking about the sheer numbers of winners and how improbable that was.

Kinsmen just released a statement on their fb page this morning. While some parts makes sense, other parts do not make sense. The odds of having 32 winners if they sold 12 million cards which they did not. The odds of winning a blackout under 50 balls is 1 in 236,000 but somehow they had 32 winners in 49 balls? It does not make any sense. The only thing I can think of is that they printed too many duplicate cards (the 32 winners should show their cards so we could compare) otherwise … not a lot has been explained. Jackpot winners in the past was not 32 or even 30 or even 20 or even 10 so it does look shady

Does anybody know if it went again this past Saturday, Feb 8?

If there is jackpot winner, no one wins the weekly prize. I am pretty sure  
 
and as for Feb 8, no one won the jackpot. The pot is now over 75,000

Another example, in Dauphin there's a 52-number Mosaic Jackpot at the Kings and Ukrainian bingos (twice a week). Its almost at 60 grand now. I've played where 8 people have won in 54 numbers, and 1 person winning 62 numbers. It's a live game, no cheating.  
 
Most of the people bitching on here about it being rigged are NOT regular Kinsmen players. Please, do us regular bingo players a favor....take your ratios, probabilities, and Conspiricy figures and go suck sand, and let us regular bingo players have fun with our game. Three of the four previous games prior to the big one being won had well over 20 winners with less cards sold....and the balls are called LIVE ON TV AND ON CAMERA so no it was not rigged.

Sorry you are not understanding because you are talking about over 50 balls (54 and 62) when we are talking about the fact that it’s rare for anyone to win a blackout UNDER 50 balls ………………………………

First off you can suck sand and bugger off and play bingo if you don’t like the conversation. I never said it was rigged. I said something didn’t make sense. If you were such a good Kinsmen bingo player you’d likely read their Facebook page where they explained what happened. They were printing repeat tickets to meet the demand and thus the high number of winners. Numbers don’t lie. You’re welcome.

My point is there can be ONE winner on a 55-60 number game just as easily as 30 plus winners on a 48-50 number game.  
 
It's not rigged. Duplicate cards happen....hell, go to MMF bingo and listen to the serial numbers off the cards....happens often

I don't bingo, or at least I haven't since about 1972 or so. Never did well at it but it was fun. Value for dollar spent. Might try that again some day when I get old.  
 
The chance of multiple blackout winners in any particular game is obviously proportional to the number of cards being played (not players - cards).  
 
Apparently - for the game in question - bingo cards were sold out, then sold out again. Purchasers were buying multiple cards. There were line ups to get bingo cards! There were even people tracking and following bingo card deliveries!! It became main stream news. The line ups had line ups.  
 
So it's possible that enough cards were sold to explain so many multiple winners.  
 
The Kinsmen could publicize the number of cards sold - an important factor. Then the mathematicians could advise us with respect to the number of possible different bingo cards, and the odds of there being multiple winners.  
 
But even so, probability is unpredictable; strange things can happen. It's the definition of randomness and probability. Most of the time chance works the way you'd expect - things work out in the long run. Until they don't. In the short term randomness is unpredictable.  
 
I won a modest lottery against 1 in a million odds. And I didn't buy a million tickets. Just lucky.  
 
I doubt that there is/was any funny stuff going on . But I reserve the right to be proved wrong.

I never said it was rigged. I did say something was up and it’s exactly what I said. They printed a ton of the same cards which messed with the numbers of winners. Please inform yourself by doing some research and reading about it on the Kinsmen Jackpot bing Facebook page. What they did was reprint a ton of the same cards. This almost assured a shared pot and in this case it was split 32 ways.  
 
They can print cards to suit their demand and keep the odds the same to ensure one or two winners. They haven’t changed their printing in regards to the odds of winners for demand in sales in years. THUS the same cards being reprinted and a huge number of winners.  
 
I will say that it was a bit misleading of them to print so many duplicates as it gave a lot of players false hope that they could win the whole jackpot which was almost guaranteed in this instance.

Did I ever once say you specifically said it was rigged? NO!
