I’m beginning to realize that outside of my workplace, I don’t have much in terms of friendships. My couple close girl friends have moved away and the connections have dwindled.  
Are there any groups of ladies out there that meet up, get together for events, etc, and are open to new comers? Or any ladies in the same boat as me that would be interested in getting a group together?  
I’m a female in my mid 30’s just looking for some genuine female friendships.

There was a group a few years ago on Facebook.  
I know it’s called “singles” but the page suggests it isn’t for dating.  
 
I know eBrandon doesn’t allow external links but it’s called Brandon & Area Singles Network.  
 
It’s a place to start.

It's tough finding new friend circles as we get older. Especially in Brandon it seems. I've looked into groups previously as well, with little success. Taken all the suggestions of joining sports or hobby groups but i find people are pretty cliquey. I'm always up for meeting new people. I'm female in my late 30's with 1 younger child. Message me if you feel like getting to know each other.

For anyone considering joining the Facebook group mentioned above - the previous commenter is NOT exaggerating lol Upon scrolling through the page, it is one guy posting memes about dating/dating struggles (even though the page clearly states it is not a dating site).

It started out as a social group for people who happened to be single, not really a dating group, more so game night get togethers for people who are single so there wasn't that awkward feeling of hanging out with couples and getting pressured by them to hook you up with that other single person they know lol  
 
I'm sure people started dating from it, but that wasn't the intention
