How do you meet new people

How do you in Brandon meet new people?
Bars come off as "the not how to" !!!
No one sets up their friends or family anymore.
People have to work more and socialize less.
Dating at work is taboo. And when you work in a female dominated workplace... even more taboo!
Got any ideas?
