Buying elsewhere what you can buy here...

Most people will say they like to support "local". The truth is that most people buy certain products elsewhere due to a perceived (or real) increase in value or quality. Some examples I've heard...
-buying cars in Wpg or outlying communities vs. in Brandon
-getting haircuts in Wpg instead of Brandon
-Getting massage therapy in Wpg Vs. Brandon
-Dentist (for regular work) in Wpg Vs. Brandon
and the list goes on...
I'm suprised how many people will shop elsewhere for things that are right here in town. On the other hand, small town folks will come here to get haircuts, dental work etc instead of their own home towns. Goes both ways I guess.
