It’s not so simple or black and white.
To open a home daycare, there are rules to be followed. It’s opening a small business and not everyone is cut out for that and not everyone is cut out to look after multiple children. Not everyone realizes the toll it takes on your whole household and the house itself. It’s a lot of paper work and precise bookkeeping. It takes money to have a business and be able to pay your taxes and CPP at end of year.
If staying at home to make “easy and quick cash” is the main reason one is opening a home daycare, I would strongly advise not too. It really is no different than opening a business. You must be able to write up fair and clear contracts/policies, deal with clients that may not be so polite, chase after your money, handle sticky situations and sometimes confrontations. There is no one to pass on ANY part of the workload, it is all on the one person and some just don’t have the right personality to handle all that comes with having a daycare
