Was just wondering about returning beer cans to vendors, how much do you get per can? How many goes in a bag and does it have to be clear bags? What about twisted tea or palm bay cans?  
Thanks for any info, tried searching on the internet but couldn't find much.

free bags from the vendor - they don't have to accept cans in other bags, and some won't. 144 cans per bag - only beer cans - no coolers etc. Gets you a $14.40 refund.

Are accepted but must be separate from the beer. Vodka and rum coolers are not accepted.

my beer cans next to the fence in the back alley. It gives someone else a few cents and saves them from digging through our dumpster.

I store them outside in the garage as there is a couple of groups that fundraise and collect them (our high school hockey team & boy scouts).

As PaulA said ..10 cents a can..same as a beer bottle.

Depending on the vendor I have always brought my cans in flats for easy storage and counting. They make me dump them into one of their large plastic bags. Doesn't matter if they are pre bagged or anything. Had to be their bags.

recommend putting them in the back lane like F8 suggested. We started doing this as well to try and give a few cents to those who need it and it only invited trespassing and theft from our property.  
We found some unwholesome folks coming into our fenced & gated yard to look for more empties, we had one who broke into our locked garage and stole from us and we've gone through more bicycles than we care to count.  
Unfortunately us trying to "give our empties away" in the back lane backfired on us and made us a target more than anything.

Just grab a bag when you buy your beer. 6 flats equals one bag. Its easier to carry too.

For me it is easier to count outside a bag. When everyone comes over and starts tossing in a bag it's a little hard to track. Plus I have seen many of the bags leak. Not good if you have a car or even with my truck I don't want old beer all over my box. 6 flats may take me 6 months in the winter to drink. Don't want to pack stuff that long.

Your problem as I see it, is you aren't drinking enough beer! I have a spot in my basement where I fill the flats. When 6 are full I dump them all into a bag and start over. I usually dont returm my empties till I have 2 or 3 bags.
