don't judge so fast

If you have ever driven a semi, gotten directions from a company, told exactly where to go, and how to get out, and you are driving where you are told, it's a new road to you speed limit is 90-100 and you see yellow flashing lights of to the side, you are not thinking of stopping. Like one other poster said, why is it not a red light. When I see amber I think where is the accident and start looking around for such, not how high is the bridge. I almost ran into a bridge in sask once. I was told exactly what route to take because I was 12 ft wide and 15ft 8 inches high I almost caught a rail bridge but saw it on time. I had to turn a semi around on 2 lanes and 2 shoulders. drive against traffic for 1/2 mile to turn off else where. I drove where it was legal weight but to high. When you drive a big rig and you have to be carful because some idiot has almost made you crash already and you are watching a hundred different things a bridge like kemney looks like you have room and I can see people hitting it. there should be a red light or they need to close it off all together. We know how high we are but sometimes the powers that be do not. You get a oversize load permit they tell you where to go, and if you hit something following there instructions you are still held responsible.. Because of this I like to pre drive my route sometimes but you can't do that 500 miles from home. I also drove a road that had been driven many times before with the same load, well low and behold they fixed it up and added almost 2 ft to the road and my it was nice and smooth. I caught a few wires, never ripped but I saw them move, was still a legal load on my permits. But you won't catch me any where near there again.
