turkeys...prestuffed frozen ready to cook

I think I have a great idea but Im not 100% sure so I would like some opinions.
This year for Christmas dinner I thought about getting one of those prestuffed frozen turkeys that you just pull out of the freezer and right into the oven, but they are horribly expensive and my dinner guest list is getting bigger and bigger. I normally buy a fresh turkey and stuff it myself but I thought maybe this year I would cheat and get one of those prestuffed turkeys.
But now this is my idea...is there any reason why I cant still get my normal fresh turkey stuff it and than freeze it(right away) myself than pop it into the oven on Christmas day. Would that not be the same thing and wow would it ever save on time...right?
