I have seen both of the Transformers movies and for the most part have thought they were great. I'm a child of the 80's and grew up with the toys etc. The movies differ in a few minor aspects, but basically the same characters and some new ones are in a couple of great action, smashem, blow em up films.  
However, my bit of beef is this:  
In the first one, there were about 3-5 swear words that I can recall.  
I just finished watching the 2nd and my wife and I counted around 20 swear words.  
What is up with that??? I would like to show my kids the stuff I grew up on and give them a chance for the same enjoyment, but as long as there is this amount of vulgar, crude language and swearing I won't let them watch it. (unless with tv g, if you can)  
I don't see any need for the swearing, which, by the way is 90% from the autobots. It's not even the bad guys swearing and using vulgarities.  
I guess this shouldn't surprise me, the transformers movie (the cartoon one) has an absolute blatant s-word, and this was in the 80's.  
What are our kids watching????  
I like the movies, just not the unnecessary swearing. Thanks for hearing my rant.
