concessions at the movies

Ok so I went to the movies tonight and I got there 10 mins before the movie was going to start. So I went to get a drink and some snacks and there was about 10 people ahead of me in line. In 10 mins I moved up 2 places in line so I left to go to my movie on time. My question is how hard is it to move people through the line quickly? Its not like people are ordering a 4 course meal.
