i heard there was a incedent at the car show last night anybody know what happened

I was there all evening, from one end to the other several times and everyone seemed well behaved. That doesn't mean something didn't happen, but I didn't witness or hear of anything out of place happening.

We walked from 6th St. to 13th St. a couple of times and didn't see anything but nice cars and people enjoying the evening.

There were kids throwing rocks off of the top of a building at the cars below, closer to 6th street or so. I was there, but didn't personally witness anything, but talked to a buddy who's car was hit by stones several times on its roof. Have had several others mention the same thing to me today here at work about kids throwing rocks off of a building's roof at all of the beautiful cars downtown last night.

Someone (we are presuming kids) threw three plastic gatorade/pop bottles full of gravel either from the top level of the Town Center parkade or a roof top near by, possibly the RBC roof or art gallery. Luckily only 2 of the three bottles hit anything, the third landed dead center of my car roof leaving a small stonechip and dent. There were several people,including children, in the immediate area and it was just blind luck that no one was hit. We called the BCP but after waiting over 30 min for someone to arrive and hearing sirens in another area of the city we decided to move on. I'm not sure if the BCP did ever call the original caller back for a statement.

was hurt! Have to tell you this kind of thing is the main reason my Corvette stays home on Cruise night!!!

It's disappointing that this happened, hopefully it's an incident that doesn't happen again or people will just start staying home with their vehicles. Lots of time and money goes into those things.

but, if you live in fear of someone damaging your classic, then I'm afraid you'll never get much use out of it. Trailer queens and garage ridden vehicles are a waste. Drive 'em or sell 'em, IMO. Jealous people or vandalous kids are everywhere. I think this was an isolated incident and hopefully will never happen again.

I've heard from a few people that they won't bring their vehicles to cruise night because too many people have no respect for the displayed vehicles. Last night's actions are one example.  
 
Another example is people leaning on, getting in, sitting on, popping the hood, or just plain touching the vehicles. This is from ALL ages, not just "kids", but older people doing this as well.  
 
I'm sure that a lot of owners would love to bring their "baby" to have others appreciate it as well. Who would want to bring their vehicle to a show and have some idiot(s) scratch up the $5,000, $10,000 or more paint job? Or get in the vehicle and possibly tear the upholstery?  
 
I'm also pretty sure that if you were to ask the owners about their vehicles that the owners would be more than happy to tell you about it, and probably show you more of it. It is called respect for that person's property.  
 
I wouldn't want to live in fear of someone damaging my vehicle, but I don't want some idiot to damage it because they can't respect my vehicle. I've worked hard for my vehicle to look this way and I want to keep it this way as long as possible.  
 
Respect the other person's property by looking and NOT touching. I'm sure that if that happened, there would be a LOT more vehicles there.

I've been to many cruise nights and never had a problem. Years ago at another car show someone was looking into my car window and their leashed dog decided to hop up and look too. Luckily there was no scratches.
