King Spud Potato Transport Ltd is currently looking to hire full and part time Class one drivers to join out team!
King Spud is the all inclusive bulk potato hauler for McCain foods factories in both Portage La Prairie and Carberry Manitoba. King Spud is located in Carberry Mb. We have modern and well maintained equipment that is user friendly. We offer full time, year round stable work that offers a variety of different schedules and off days which are focused on home time and flexibility.
Applicants must :
- Have a valid class one license and one year class one driving experience
- An abstract with minimal infractions
- Have experience pulling and backing tridem trailers
- Be able to preform adequate pre and post trips as well as complete all necessary paperwork required.
- Be able to read , write and speak fluent English.
- Be flexible and able to work varying hours as schedule requires
- Have a positive and professional attitude and be able to work well with others.
- Be reliable and able to make all shifts on time
- Be able to work long hours at peak harvest season
- Be able to operate e-log for long distance trips
- Have experience driving in the winter with a tractor trailer unit
We have openings for :
- Daily trips from Carberry Mb to Moosejaw Saskatchewan area doing trailer swaps with other units coming from Alberta - Monday to Saturday. ( variation of days available) No loading. Only unloading in Carberry or Portage.
- Daily trips for drivers who would like to stay out on the road and reset in Taber Alberta.( accommodations provided for reset days) These trucks would be loading in Taber/Coaldale area and bringing trailers to Moosejaw area daily for swaps.
- Long haul trips to Coaldale Alberta and Lucky Lake Saskatchewan and back to Carberry or Portage Mb weekly . 2-3 trips per week as log book allows . ( over night trips)
- Local Hauling in western Mb within 160 km of Carberry. All loads would be going to McCain Foods Carberry or Portage facility. Morning and afternoon shifts available throughout the year.
Who should apply ?
- Full time - up to 70 hours a week
- Part time - less than 40 hours a week
- Casual - any amount of variation of availability
- One week on and one off drivers
- weekend only - or a single day per weekend
- Term drivers (winter or short term only)

Preference will be given to drivers who would be interested in going wherever we need them.
All drivers are paid hourly with overtime. Canada life benefits available after probation period.
