Purpose of Position
The Maintenance III position works with the Maintenance team and may be responsible for, but not limited to, activities in one or more of the following areas: carpentry (e.g., building cabinets and other projects), electrical (e.g., installation and maintenance of electrical components - heating, ventilation, air conditioning, fire alarm), utility (e.g., welding, repairs, maintenance), painting, and grounds (e.g. maintain and operate equipment, general repairs to BSD property and snow removal).
Duties and Responsibilities
Are established by the Supervisor of Facilities within the parameters of the job profile.
Required Qualifications
- Specific maintenance/technical knowledge, including the ability to assemble, repair, renovate, maintain, and install equipment and materials.
- Class 5 Driver's License.
- Effective basic computer skills.
- Effective basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Effective moderate interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- WHMIS training/certification.
- Asbestos removal training/knowledge.

Permanent CUPE employees presently on staff will be given early consideration, in accordance with COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT.
Salary as per COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT.
