Position: Full-Time Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk
Location: Melita, Manitoba
The Municipality of Two Borders is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk to join our administrative team.
Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, the successful candidate will manage accounts payable, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made in accordance with municipal policies and procedures. The position is also responsible for payroll processing, employee benefits, and maintaining accurate payroll records.
Qualifications:
? Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
? Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Proficiency in financial software.
? Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
? Strong analytical, numerical, organization, and time management skills.
? Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
? Completion of, or willingness to obtain, certification in the Municipal Administration Course.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
? Familiarity with ASYST Municipal software.
? Education in business administration, payroll, accounting, or related fields.
? Certified Manitoba Municipal Administer (CMMA) designation.
