We are looking for an experienced Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing heavy-duty vehicles while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy-duty mobile and stationary equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Repair and service diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, electrical systems, and related components.
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to identify problems.
- Complete repairs efficiently and according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices when required.
Qualifications
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic certification required.
- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic/Equipment Technician certification.
- Previous experience repairing and maintaining heavy-duty equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
