The NHL's despicable pest has dropped to a new low with his own authentic action of licking opposing players salty sweat off of their cheeks and neck in an effort to entice them into taking a retaliatory penalty or simply getting them off their game. It baffles me that the NHL has not disciplined him yet and that his own organization (the Bruis) condone this type of action from one of their own. Says a lot for how low an organization will go in an effort to win a game. No respect for Marchand or Bruins here. Good news is that they''re down 3 games to one and we'll hopefully only have to put up wirh Marchand's disgusting behaviour one more game!

Okay I thought the kissing was funny but the licking is downright disgusting not to mention dirty, dirty, dirty! The NHL needs to stop his behaviour and if he doesn't? Throw him out of the game and fine him!

The NHL needs to stop this, it’s embarrassing to the league. Childish and disgusting. An unsportsmanlike penalty the first time would have likely stopped it from happening again, but now you’ve let it go twice so he’s likely going to just continue doing it since he seems to love the attention it’s getting.

Neither of those fellows are real clever.

fighting is ingrained in the game, so assault charges wont fly, but licking, try that on a street corner and see what it gets you.

For posting. I believe the league acted real slow to Marchand's inexcuable behaviour and it should have been dealt with after the first incident. Glad we won't be seeing this again. However, knowing what type of player Marchand is, he's probably conniving some other deplorable tactic to display in the future.

Let me ask you this. If a co-worker or someone came up and licked your face without permission wouldn't you be a little upset? What would you think of your boss if they let the person get away with it? NHL players are employees. Sure it may be funny to some, but its definitely not right. My opinion, Marchand should be suspended for the rest of the playoffs.

That's certainly "sexual assault"! Try that at the office and let's see where it gets you. I've noticed no Bruins fans defending this rat's actions. Even they silently acknowledge tgat it's grotesque and has no place in hockey.

The league response was too slow on this. They only looked at it after the lick on Callahan and the social media backlash that followed. It became a PR issue then. Before this, no one seemed to care. It should have been dealt with the first time he did it. We can thank twitter for lighting a fire under their bums! So gross.

Spitting is a gross misconduct worthy of a suspension. I don't see the difference but I assume the league couldn't find legal graounds to enforce it. I predict rule changes coming soon to include kissing and licking in the definition of what constitutes a gross misconduct.

So in my mind there is no comparison - Marchand is the biggest tool.

does the guy have a wife, girl friend,wonder what would happen if the media interviewed them on camera for a comment.  
 
seems to me to be a whole lot of yuck factor for a spouse or girlfriend. Kinda can't unsee that.

If they fined him 1 million dollars every time he licks someone they would soon find that he quits!
