The Wheat City Journal has an article in today's paper where they talk about the possibility of the Canadian Soccer League having a franchise in Brandon and a few other markets in Western Canada.  
 
I had a look through the league's website at http://www.canadiansoccerleague.ca and by what's there it appears to be a very well-run league.  
 
For anyone with more experience/in depth knowledge of this type of league.. do you know what kind of crowds it's various teams draw? The Brandon Grey Owls (baseball) had some serious difficulty drawing summer crowds in the city several years ago, but a lot of time has passed and some would say soccer is a completely different situation with there being not as many games in a season to put on.
