Bent Bike Rim - Where to fix

My adult bike has a bent back tire rim - it’s definitely not a high level brand bike so I don’t want to get charged for high level maintenance on a mediocre bike haha. Any suggestions on where or who I should take it to? Jo Brooks, A&L, SportChek, Stream’n’Wood? Do any small businesses fix bikes? I can call those places for quotes but just wondering if someone has had a similar scenario.

Why don't you just pick up a good used rim. There are plenty of back yard '' bike wreckers '' who could help you out .

We have used them to fix up a Norco bike we got at a garage sale. They were decent prices, and kept us abreast of what was going on! Can’t recommend them enough!

I bent one a few years ago, no shop wanted to do it, its very labor intensive and takes a long time, if you want try it your self, I tried spent 8 hours fiddling with spokes and wasnt even close to straight I ended up buying a old bike with a similar wheel that fit, for not very much good luck.

does anyone know where to get general bike repairs and maintenance

I have two old bikes tha need brakes chains tires and the like adjusted. Does anyone know any home/garage bike repair persons. These are ccm supercycle type bikes not the 2000 to 5000 dollar bikes at A&L and Stream and Wood.
