What kind of options are available for children 6-12 years old for summer sports? (I know Covid will limit the options)

Soccer, baseball , dance , swimming, boxing, golf are all going on still

Just curious to know where swimming is happening? As far as I can see, Sportsplex and YMCA both don't have any offerings for lessons at this time.  
 
Also do you have details on baseball registration.

I’m looking for more of a program over summer holidays when kids are out of school. Baseball starts in may, is there any programs that run over the course of summer break?

There generally isn’t too much over summer. You might get in for day camp at Sportsplex.

Pretty upsetting that Galaxy soccer can’t operate outdoors leaving so many kids scrambling to see what else to do for sports. Timbit soccer is still allowed. I was under the impression galaxy wasn’t because the Brandon school division doesn’t want recreation played on their school yard fields. If that’s truly the case that’s very sad.

I heard the same thing that the schools don’t want soccer being played in there fields during the evenings.  
 
Last time I checked my property taxes. I’m sure half of it or so went to school taxes. If we find these education stations so heavily through taxation our children should be able to use the soccer fields in the evening for organized sports?

Just guessing, but maybe it's a Covid liability issue?  
 
It could also be that groups have not adequately cared for the property in the past, leaving litter and/or damage that then makes it unusable for school. Gym programs are heavily relying on outdoors this year.  
 
Not saying either is true, but both are certainly within the realm of being plausible reasons. It's also possible that rent is being charged (same as if they rented the gym) and no one wants to pay it. Again, just tossing out possible reasons.  
 
Has anyone asked either the school division or the organization as to why?

Galaxy soccer stated health orders do not allow for multi-team activities, as well as school division is not allowing use of the fields. They also figure social distancing will be difficult with these younger kids.  
 
They have since moved to indoor, but limited spots are available.  
 
I'm not sure how BYSA Timbits are still allowed, as they usually have several teams on a single field too.

I don’t know if I did this right, but I tried to attach a letter our men’s team got from MSA saying exhibition or league play IS allowed with some exceptions like no spectators. The 3-8 year olds are allowed to have a parent on the field with them. If a certain town or league has separate rules or cancellations, that’s their own choice, it’s not because they aren’t allowed by the province. School fields may be a separate issue too, I don’t know about that.

That Msa letter is old and has been updated. All children are allowed one spectator. They are not required to participate. Outdoor sports activities are allowed including games. Galaxy is not part of msa. The schools have decided not to let anyone use their fields. Not sure why. Bysa has their own facility to use.
